Our client is seeking a Chef to join their 50m charter Yacht. The program is primarily a US East Coast yacht, currently located in New England and in the winter will be located in the Florida / Bahamas and occasionally Caribbean.
Both the owners and the (usual) charter guests enjoy good, clean, healthy food - with an emphasis on taste, variety and of course, presentation. We assume that there will be the occasional hamburger or chicken nuggets (especially if the guests bring children).
When on charter they generally see 10-12 guests and there are 8 crew aboard - so a very hands-on, well organized chef is important. Please note that most provisioning will happen State-side so it is generally not a huge challenge to plan.
They want a full time Chef, but are happy to consider somebody for the winter. The ideal candidate will be female (it is a shared cabin), comfortable in the galley - but not territorial (everybody pitches in during charters) and have some charter background.
The flag allows them to consider any nationality, but as they will be coming and going into the States, candidate cannot have any restrictions on their passport regarding the USA. The position is open now and they would like to have a hand-over with the current Chef.
Please note that although they are only seeking a chef - the program is team-friendly and candidates with partners can be considered.
