Summary

Role: Deckhand / Dive Instructor Summary: Seeking deckhand/dive instructor for expedition motor yacht +/-46m – world travelling. Private/charter. Please do not apply unless you meet the minimum criteria. Start date: 28 July 2018

Minimum qualifications: STCW including security awareness, ENG1, Dive Instructor, yacht rating or similar. Beneficial qualifications: Yachtmaster, Kite surf, Fishing, free diving, SUP, PWC instructor, Marine biology, IT skills, video and photography. Other: All qualifications valid for minimum 12 months

Minimum experience:
2 years on yachts with at least 1 year in the position as dive instructor on board yachts. Experience in diving in remote locations and servicing of all dive equipment. Experience in chartering and diving in tropical waters beneficial especially South Pacific diving.

Cabin: Shared with one other crew
Salary: DOE – paid in $USD Trial: 3 months

Main duties:
This is a dual position with primary responsibilities as a deckhand maintaining the exterior of the vessel. Autonomy in managing the diving department including dive reconnaissance, dive planning, research and sub-contracting of local dive assets, diving records, underwater videography, planned and on the spot maintenance of all dive equipment.

Program:
This is a busy world travelling yacht. We need someone who is competent, confident and can step straight into an owner trip. Role is suitable for someone who enjoys off the track style cruising. Team of 4 on the exterior. Currently in Japan and cruising to Aleutian Islands, Alaska, Canada and the USA this year. 2019 will cruise Central and South America and the South Pacific. Must be willing and able to work for extended periods (months) due to the continuous cruising schedule.
