This 55m+ Private Support Vessel is currently looking for a solid Lead Deckhand stepping up to Bosun to join them onboard asap. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years yachting experience, with a minimum of 1 years experience as a Lead Deckhand on a similar sized vessel or a Bosun on a smaller yacht. You will have solid tender driving skills and have a Yachtmaster Offshore in hand, and be at the level of looking to finally step up to a Bosun and still working towards your OOW with the next couple of years. Mooring/docking procedures should be a no brainer for you at this point in your career, and your product knowledge and repair ability should be of the highest standards. Leading a large team of multinational Deckhands should be no problem for you, and you must have the ability and patience to train the more junior crew. You must have both your B1B2 and Schengen visas in hand to be considered. The vessel plans to head to the Galapagos at some point for quite some time and surrounding areas, and then head into a yard period over the next year or so. The boss uses the vessel around 6 times per year, so the crew get a lot of down time on top of their rotations. The current HOD,s have been onboard for 8-10 years each along with some other crew, so this should give you an idea of how well the crew are looked after along with the mother ship. When the boss is not onboard the crew work 7am - 3pm and have weekends off obviously apart from the watch duties. The crew onboard are all very active and sporty, so they are looking for someone to fit in. There is no teak onboard to worry about, but there is plenty of crane lifting and water sports to be active with.
