Summary

** LIVE-OUT POSITION IN LONDON FOR EXPERIENCED STEWARDESS LOOKING TO GO LAND-BASED **

EXPERIENCED EXECUTIVE HEAD HOUSEKEEPER REQUIRED FOR HNW FAMILY IN LONDON

Location: Central London, UK + travel

Contract: Full-Time, Permanent

Salary: £75,000-£85,000 per annum, negotiable DOE

Status: Live-out

A wonderful UNHW family of four are looking to appoint a hard-working, well-presented and meticulous Executive Head Housekeeper with a can-do attitude and a pleasant, calm disposition for their London home. A secondary residence for the family, you will maintain the property in their absence and provide a high level of service during the family’s visits, as well as assisting with housekeeping. You should have an excellent eye for detail, and be friendly and approachable, yet confident, discreet and respectful.

You will need to have excellent knowledge of cleaning products and knowledge of how to care for furniture and surfaces with high-end finishes, as well as being proficient in laundry care. The ideal candidate will have brilliant service knowledge, including wine, cocktail and barista skills, and be confident in guest interaction, meeting and greeting guests and providing a high level of front of house service. Someone from a yachting background is highly preferred for this role.

Usual working hours will be Monday to Friday from 8:30am-5pm, though flexibility will be required to work longer hours and weekends when the family are in residence. As part of the role, you will also be required to travel internationally with the family, so the successful candidate must have a valid passport and be travel-ready. International trips usually last around 1-2 weeks, and at the longest will be 3-4 weeks at a time – advance notice is usually provided when travel will be required. A live-out role, candidates must be based in Central London in order to be considered for this role.

DUTIES TO INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

•Maintaining the cleanliness of the property year-round, including dusting, mopping, making beds, cleaning bathrooms, lounges, and dining areas

•Household purchasing, stock rotation and inventory management

•Polishing silver and glassware

•Formal and informal food and beverage service when the family are in residence

•Meeting and greeting guests

•Managing and working alongside temporary housekeeping staff when the family are in residence, ensuring the smooth running of the family’s day

•Laundry and ironing, including caring for delicate garments

•Packing and unpacking for the family

•Liaising with contractors, service providers, tradesmen and the family’s wider staff

•Reporting to and flagging any potential issues to the Estate Director

•Traveling to the family’s other residences when required

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:

•At least 5 years service and housekeeping experience, preferably on superyachts

•Eligibility to work in the UK & fluency in English

•Hardworking, dedicated, and reliable

•Attention to detail and highly organised

•Strong initiative and work ethic, able to work independently with little supervision

•Trustworthy, honest team player with good communication skills

•Calm, discreet and respectful

•Travel ready & willing to travel as part of the role

•Excellent checkable references

•Based in Central London (within 30 minutes from the family’s property in Piccadilly area)
