Location: London, UK Salary: up to £45,000 per annum Contract: Permanent, Rotational

An ultra-high net worth family based in North London are seeking to hire an experienced, hard-working Assistant Chef to work on a rotational basis in their family home. This is an incredible opportunity to work for a highly prominent international family - they have multiple properties globally and expect high standards throughout their households.

Joining a team, you will work on two weeks on two weeks off rotation in normal times (however, during Covid you will be required to work 30 days, then have 21 days off before quarantining for 7 days to then return to work for another 30 days). You days will be16-hour shifts whilst on duty. You will cover breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as being partially in charge of the staff’s meals. In addition to daily family cooking, there will be occasional dinner parties to prepare for and therefore you will need to be flexible to work longer hours where required.

Whilst on duty, you will stay in shared staff accommodation which is located near to residence – during Covid times you will be required to share a bedroom due to increased need for live-in staff, however, normally will have your own bedroom with shared kitchen, lounge, garden and bathroom.

This role is open to only female applicants due to the shared accommodation.

RESPONSIBILITIES • Assist in preparing meals in accordance to client’s recipes or tastes, handling meals for some of the household staff (taking into consideration special dietary requirements and cultural/religious practices) • Check freshness of food and ingredients • Inspect supplies, equipment and work areas for cleanliness and functionality • Order and maintain inventory of food and supplies • Monitor sanitation practices and follow kitchen safety standards • Any other reasonable duties asked by management

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA • Excellent cooking skills (min. Sous-Chef level ideally with Kosher and Russian cuisine experience) • Experience working for a VIP private household/yacht (minimum 2 years) • Strong technical ability is essential • Hands-on approach • Experience of serving would be beneficial • Strict on hygiene procedures • Well-presented and ambassador for the family • Highly organised, motivated and team spirited • Adaptable to current systems and ways of working • Proactive, discreet and patient • Flexible to travel with the family in their multiple properties • Energetic, hard-working and enthusiastic • Able to work independently and as part of a team • Trustworthy, reliable and discreet • Excellent checkable references
