Summary

We are a 35 meter Classic Motor Yacht in search of a Captain for a 7 month period beginning March 1st of this year. The Yacht will be going back in the water Mid March, doing sea trails and getting set up with seasonal crew through March & April. We are planning on having a full Med season with the Private owners May through the end of September. Cruising itinerary is around Spain, the Balearic Islands, South of France, Italy and possibly Greece. The Yacht is active and busy through entire summer season. The Captain will require a minimum of a 500T unlimited licence and be responsible for hiring and training crew as required. We have an experienced long term First mate and rotational Engineer onboard. The Captain will need to hire a Stewardess and Chef within the first month or two and a temp Engineer through June & July. We expect the Captain to be diverse in this role, assist with washdowns and general maintenance on board. This is not an armchair Captain position as teamwork is essential, with a total crew of 5 and thus requires some good active leadership skills. That being said there is a substantial amount of paperwork, administration and accounting required which you will be trained on and be in direct correspondence with the owner. Pleasant family vessel and relatively stress free environment. We are not a big party boat, generally keep sane hours with guests in bed by midnight and rarely active before 8am in the morning. We are an older vessel but have recently had a full paint job and gone through a Lloyd's 20 year survey. The vessel is in great shape and will continue to be immaculately maintained.
