Rotational AV/IT Officer opportunity available on Private 100m+ M/Y

Please note COVID testing will be undertaken and possibly a quarantine period before joining the yacht

Start: End of January 2021

Package: Salary paid in euros; 176 days leave – including return economy flights

Itinerary: Europe (shipyard) for winter/Middle East for summer

Experience and attributes required:

Previous experience on board large yacht/cruise/passenger ships including the following roles:

• Maintenance and repair of all audio visual equipment on board for crew & guests

• IT network maintenance including servers, desktops, printers and switches

• Regular back up of ship's data

• Ensuring ship's camera systems for both security and general CCTV are fully operational

• Ordering AV/IT related consumables/spares

Responsible for:

• PC and LAN based systems

• Audio Visual systems

• Mac OSX Desktop and Server design, installation and support

• Windows Desktop and Server including MS Exchange, MS Office, Windows and Collaborative Solutions

• Internetworking Technologies including routing, switching

• Structured cabling installations including Fibre Optic

• IP Networking Design across LAN, MAN, WAN, Wireless technologies

• Telephone, radio and satellite communications systems

• Application implementation and support including Stability Software, Planned Maintenance Systems and other systems used for operation of vessel

• Satellite TV systems

• VSAT

• Responsible for the security of the network and making routine tests to ensure LAN is protected

• Helping guests in case of queries/problems regarding the interactive entertainment system

• Administration of the daily infotainment system, including Web Design

• Assist Chief Electrical Engineer with Bridge navigation and GMDSS equipment, repairs and periodic service of equipment * Assist other members of the Electrical team as required

• Fluent English - both written and verbal

Qualifications/Certificates required::

STCW (fully updated) with PDSD

Seafarer's Medical Certificate (with 6 months' validity)

Crisis and Crowd Management (preferred)

Seaman's Discharge Book

Yellow Fever vaccination (preferred)
