Summary

Rotational Chief Engineer Required, Please do not apply if you do not meet the following criteria:

1: US B1/B2 Visa, Green Card or Passport holder.

2: Class 1 or Y1 only.

3: Experience in the role of Chief Engineer onboard a yacht of a similar size or bigger, or significant experience (>5 years) in the role of 2nd Engineer onboard a yacht of a similar size or bigger.

We are looking for a hands-on engineer who can fault find and repair problems without immediately calling a contractor.

The ideal candidate will be a Chief who can be a strong leader and manage a team, and who will operate the vessel with mindfulness of budgetary requirements.

Applications from people with no yacht experience will not be considered.

Vessel is a pedigree 70m northern European build, but is a few years old now, so does need attention and the ER is busy.

Crew of 20 when operational.

8:8wk Rotation. Decent salary in US$, to be discussed during interviews.

Single cabin most of the time, but occasional cabin share during heavy use periods.

Engine Room runs with Chief, 2nd, 3rd and ETO.

Itinerary is West Coast USA for now, but winter cruising plans are not yet confirmed.

Start date may change due to ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, and may be earlier or later depending on evolution of same.

All other information will be discussed with candidates chosen for interviews.
