Qualifications/Docs required: STCW BST ENG1 Ship\\'s Cook Certificate Food safety/hygiene Passport (with necessary visa’s) B1/B2 visa (and C1/D would be advantageous).
STRICTLY NON SMOKING on board and preferred off as well. Able to pass an extensive back ground check. Minimum of six months remaining on passport.
Male/ Female Minimum 1 season on yachts and minimum 1+ year cooking as a chef in the hospitality industry. At least 3 written references.
The Chef is responsible for providing all crew, supernumeraries with meals. He/she undertakes all requirements for passage making, periods in port and cruising. He/she plans menus. He/she provides, at the set times, lunch and dinner for the crew, and budgets to comply with the food allowance specified.
The Chef keeps an accurate, complete, and up to date inventory of all food-stuffs. The Chef keeps the galley, refrigerators, freezers, and storerooms immaculately clean and organized at all times. The Chef manages all aspects of the galley.
The Chef must have a full working understanding of relevant safety procedures and equipment.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Menu planning, varied repertoire Provisioning of all food items Crew meals and nutrition Developing and adhering to budget Galley and food inventory Galley safety High sanitary standards
Breakfast, lunch and dinner daily.
Salary: USD - 150 per day
Other: Fluent English is required and Full drivers license. Personality evaluation and extensive back ground check may be done prior to hiring.
Job Specifics: Applicant will share a crew cabin.
Package: Insurance provided while working.
