We are looking for an established and experienced CAPTAIN/COOK-STEW couple to fill this key role for a relaxed and active family of very experienced sailors. Sailing is an important part of their lifestyle and they share this with their children and guests. The family enjoy a wide range of on and in water activities and are keen divers and encourage the crew to share and enjoy the on-board experiences.
Stewardess/Cook : STCW, Valid Maritime Medical Certificate/Fit for Service
We seek a candidate with strong service skills, the ability to prepare nutritious meals with good presentation, very organized and a keen eye for detail. Experience with table settings, floral arrangements and decor. Housekeeping, laundry and deck skills. Line handling, etc.
We are looking for a candidate with a positive and happy personality and high levels of personal motivation and energy.
One or both of the candidates would ideally also have
Diving experience Small Boat handling experience (sail and power) Good bookkeeping, budgeting, and computing skills

Start Date : August 2020; Itinerary: NZ (summer), South Pacific (winter) plus annual shipyard period.

The candidates must have a positive and happy personality, be of good humour, motivated, active and with a strong hospitality experience.
This vessels program runs with a Captain and Stewardess/Cook as the sole crew. Full interior and exterior duties are expected of the candidates. A knowledge of high service is welcomed although not always necessary as the family enjoy their time without the luxury aspect. Typically longer trips are during school holidays and there is usually an extended winter schedule in the South Pacific away from the home port of Auckland’s Viaduct harbour. Additional crew will be provided as needed during crossings and long passages around the South Pacific.
We would welcome candidates who have additional skills or experience such as Dive Master and marine or scientific knowledge. Candidates must ideally be presently located in New Zealand or Australia, speak fluent English, and have significant previous experience and an understanding of how to manage a sole-charge position.
The yacht has a vessel and charter management company contracted to provide shore and logistical support and regular meetings are held with them while the vessel is in the Auckland port. There is additional support available including offices, meeting rooms, HR and accounting from a nearby CBD office.
On board you will be provided a private double cabin with an ensuite. The role can be structured as either a full or partial live aboard depending on the requirements of the successful candidates.
