We are currently looking for a full time deckhand for a 40m long range motor yacht, that has experience and qualified for watch standing underway and at anchor along with large tender driving skills. We are in Maine now and will be heading North to Nova Scotia/Newfoundland, after that we do not have any idea where were headed. We have logged 10000 miles in the last 9 months while towing a 41-foot tender.
This position is very much a hands on job onboard daily with cleaning, polishing , general maintenance as well as working with 2 additional deck crew. When we travel this position will be a lead watch keeper so having a OOW or some basic MCA or USCG licensing is important. We are also needing a candidate that familiar with being in charge of large tenders and driving them. The yacht is not chartered, it is a private yacht with light to moderate use by the owner to date. Applicant MUST HAVE a US Visa B1/B2 if you are non-US citizen, a seaman’s book will also be a requirement. We currently operate the boat with 7 crew and it is team environment, there are no job titles if someone else needs help. The crew sleeping arrangements, we have four LARGE (for a 40m) crew cabins that are set with bunks. Two have their own heads and showers in them, the two forward cabins do not have their own in suite heads. The two deckhands will share a cabin. We are looking for QUALITY crew, this owner is use to high level of crew standards. The owner is American and is a well-known yachting family with a history of owning multiple yachts up to 120m.
