Position: Cook/Stew/Deck Yacht: Sailing Yacht 24m Job ID: 678757 Location: USVI Start date: End of May or June 1st for one month (could be longer summer season or rehire throughout the summer) Itinerary: Caribbean Licence Required: NONE Requirements: STCW + Refresher ENG1 or current fit for duty marine medical (valid for 6 months) Passport VISA: B1/B2 visa, Schengen if needed for Caribbean. Other Requirements: Sailing experience, good cooking skills, experience as a stew and deck on sailing yachts. Active, friendly and great hospitality skills. Responsibilities: Cooking/Stew - housekeeping/service and deck work on a privately used Catamaran for an owner trip. Other: Job Specifics: The captain has been on board for quite some time. He is a professional sailor and dive instructor. They typically charter and run with 3 crew however due to current circumstances with COVID-19, the owner will be using her for the summer privately in the Caribbean. They will be sailing and will be on board for two weeks to start and then will return throughout the summer. This could be an opportunity for a one time trip for about a month or you could stay on for the summer season. If it goes well you could be offered a full time position and they will return to chartering her once things settle and re-open for next season. Salary range: Around $3000 to start. Package: It will start out on a month to month contract. The owner will probably fly you on their plane from Ft. Lauderdale to the Caribbean when they fly down. They would ask you to self quarantine and take a test prior to flying down.
