Use of electronic charts in conjunction with other electronic navigational equipment is becoming normal in

bridge watch keeping. This course provides an opportunity for the candidates to become efficient in the use of

ECDIS.

The course is developed to meet the IMO Model Course 1.27 guidance and is approved for generic ECDIS

training as well as Transas Type Specific training. All candidates completing this course successfully will receive

a certificate for Generic ECDIS training and Transas Navi Sailor ECDIS training.

The course takes place over five days in the new dedicated ECDIS training suite at the LJMU Maritime Centre

and Byrom Street campus.
