36 year old female missing in the Caribbean

Police in Grenada are searching for Linnea Veinotte (36) who is believed to have been taken while out running on Sunday.

It is thought that Linnea was last seen near her home which is in the shouthern tip of Grenada on the 6th of December at around 8am local time. 

Matt Veinotte, her Husband is reported to have said Linnea was out running with her dog. After the dog was found badly injured, he believes both may have been struck by a vehicle. He now fears she may have been taken. 

The car that possibley struck the missing 36 year old is thought to be a blue, navy or dark grey Excudo or Suzuki. It is believed that the car will now be showing damage to the right fron side and may have stopped to change a damaged tire. 

A reward of $100,000 XCD has been offered by Veinotte’s husband for any information leading to the whereabouts of his wife. 

Veinotte who was born in New Denmark, New Brunswick moved to the southern part of Grenada this summer.

On the morning of the 6th December 2015, Linnea Veinotte was running

with the family dog Nico, close to the family’s home, and it appears

that both she and Nico were struck by a vehicle. Nico was left on side

of the road and Linnea was taken. This took place at approximately

8:00am in Coral Crescent, Lance Au Pines, Grenada, West Indies. She has

not been seen since.

It is believed the vehicle was a Suzuki

Vitra or Excudo, navy blue or dark grey in colour, which will now have

damage to the front, right side of the vehicle. The driver is thought

to have also incurred a flat tire in the incident and would have had to

change it somewhere nearby.

Linnea is 5’6″ weighs 115lbs, has

shoulder length, light brown hair and brown eyes and is wearing a

pink/purple tank top and green running shorts with purple Adidas running

shoes. Linnea is a Canadian citizen, born in New Denmark, New

Brunswick and has a primary residence in Glen Haven, Nova Scotia.

The family are obviously desperate for news. Her husband Matt Veinotte

said “If any one saw anything that morning, or has any information of

any kind, however small, that may help us find Linnea please call one of

the emergency numbers. (Listed below) We are desperate for her to come

home.”

A number of searches have been conducted in the area by

police, supported by family, friends and local residents. As yet Linnea

has not been found but people are requested to please keep looking.

Mr Veinotte is offering a $100,000XCD reward for information leading to

the whereabouts of his wife. Anyone with any information can call the
